It is not everyone. The sort of person who can do well on her own will have to be driven, focused, able to adapt to changes, willing to live below her means until the business takes off, always willing to learn new skills and partake in multiple tasks all at once. Some of us are meant to because we are not willing to give work 200%. Some of us do not see our profession/job as what defines us whereas I feel that an entrepeur is mainly defined by her work/business...tout kote l pase se sa a ke moun konnen de li. Her business is HER.

A friend of mine used that word once in describing someone and I didnt understand it...she was like...I dont see the fire..and I couldnt understand it...because to me...succeeding at something...whether it's your own business...just required hard work...and doing what you are suppose to do...but what I am realizing...if someone does not have that "fire within"...it's going to be very hard for them to succeed at it...because that fire is that drive to keep going and do all that hard work when things are not obvious or things are not going right/well.

I notice some people are awesome workers...they always go to work on time, they meet all deadlines, and they get rave reviews from their bosses/colleagues...but put them in the setting of them doing their own thing...it's a completely different thing. why is that? is the paycheck the driving force?

I think its all in the attitude. If you belive in yourself and you just have that drive and confidence than other people will see that and have confidence in you also.. And yes someone people are just followers while others are leaders. Leaders will always lead one way or another and i belive that they will always suceed in some way, shape or form.

I believe if you are driven enough you could achieve anything you want,but some of us were just built to succeed in business.

I do think it takes a certain attitude to be your own boss. THere are some who create these wonderful ideas and have no idea how to execute them. There are some who can't come up with an original thought but are extremely talented/gifted in fine-tuning another's idea.

Your personality plays a major role in the type of job you will be successful in. At the same time, it's possible for just about anyone to have a business as long as the team they have for support complements them and pick up where they left off.

I thought I would return to this because I am almost done reading this book...Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill...and it supported a lot of my earlier beliefs about entrepreneurship, drive, desire, etc...To me it is something that we have to teach ourselves...the book really emphasizes the fact that we can train ourselves to think better, teach ourselves to broaden our imagination, we can train ourselves to have faith, we can train ourselves to be motivated, ambitious etc...but after witnessing so many people...i had started to doubt those things...I started thinking it was either u got it...or u dont..and u r born with it...when I think of it in that sense...i forgive a lot of people's lack of drive or motivation or action. I know someone who said they wanted to start a tshirt business since we were in college...I mean...literally I see this person like every few months and they are always on the verge of starting that tshirt business...but they never do...I use to get so annoyed because im the impulsive ass(which aint good either)..if the idea to start a tshirt business pops up...within like 2 days Imma do it...it may fail..but imma do it...LOL..but...i got to a place where I didnt let stuff like that about people bother me..because im like...they just dont have it..but after reading this book...Im all annoyed again...because im like...we all can do IT...just some of us dont know how to(forgivable somewhat)...or dont want to put the work into doing it. (unforgivable)

all this to say...this book got me all confused...I dont know where I stand anymore as it relates to this topic...LOL..I just know for me...I think part of it is my personality..but theres so much I am lacking...and I know that...so I try to read...learn...and build on the little that I have
