Why would that matter? I don't think it matters where he purchased the ring--as this is not going to guarantee a good marriage.

Lyn, its important to see most of the girls want something expensive. materialistic women. rings are only for show ladies nothing more,. it does not show how much the person love you . Heck if u want to show the world your ring then Darn it Buy your own but some things are more important than materialistic things . It's not a big issue to buy a ring nor a bedroom set or mattress or a gown at a pawn shop. Y have somebody else get richer at your expense. Cheap cheap n save save save for the future(house, kids education, college/universities, bring family members to the states from your home country)......HECK LADIES ITS NOT A BIG ISSUE DARN IT....
I SO AGREE WITH LYN

Well a shop is a shop. As long the ring is beautiful. the thought can be generous. He's stuck to you to lifetime, but a ring can break, ruin, lost, and so on. i wouldnt make a big deal of the littl things. Time wasted on things we cannot change is wasteful. Live life stress free. it would not be a big deal for me tho im not a jewlery or material person but he doesn't need to waste thousands of dollars on a ring @a jwlry shop to show you how much he loves you where he can get it cheaper. Save that money for a more important thing.
